This past weekend Angela and I attended Brides 2013 at the World Trade and Convention Centre to look for upcoming trends.
Based on what we saw at the Chester and Felicity runway show it looks like lace gowns a huge this year, so are flowing chiffon gowns (or a combination of the two). Ruffles have been in style for the past several years, but they don’t seem to be going anywhere.

Dress: Style 4212 by Paloma Blanca
Dress: 9012 by Allure Bridals
We found the most note-worthy dress to be this tea-length number by Justin Alexander. It definitely makes a statement and would be perfect for an afternoon outdoors affair.

Cake trends have a tendency to follow dress trends. Surprise! Lace and ruffle covered cakes are also becoming quite popular.
